A facsimile of the earliest known piece of printing in England, an indulgence in Caxton's second type, issued by John Sant, Abbot of Abingdon, to Henry and Katherine Lanley, given at Westminster on 13th December 1476. This facsimile, produced in 1976, was printed and donated by The Scolar Press Limited, on paper donated by Inveresk Group Limited, as a contribution to the commemoration of the five hundredth anniversary of the introduction of printing to England.
